The Grind is a coffee shop with its own roastery. which uses specialized Kerala-grown coffee beans. The cafe takes pride in their in-house preparation of coffee and that is what sets the brand apart in this saturated and overly competitive coffee industry.

The client demanded for a down-to-earth retro brand-image and does not want the brand to present to specialize in too many things, but just simply coffee! Hence, the choice of typeface is bold and condensed, giving it a formal and retro appeal. A coffee grinder is also incorporated in the logo to symbolize the speciality of the cafe. The brand identity color is maroon red, close to Kerala coffee beans.
